Our patience has thinned
and our hearts have
died down.
We live today with
those lost thoughts
tomorrow.
Tamed beasts no more,
never again will they sit
in their cages.
Out here we linger,
so restless, and so
very afraid.
Our eyes do reflect,
the sunset shining,
at dusk, this evening.
